Of all the states in America, Florida undoubtedly has some of the wildest, most outgoing and, in the case of this Tampa property, most outrageous homes in the world.
Set on a sizable 23,876 square meters of land backed by not only a golf course but also a gated country club, this residence takes OTT to the extreme.
There’s no other way to describe it – it’s a castle in its own right.

Judging by the photos in the listing, the stately Florida home also gives the impression that it’s not a private residence at all, but more of a boutique hotel.
There’s enough accommodation to assume that might be the case, with the house boasting 10 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and a grand entrance hall that truly resembles a swanky hotel lobby.
In terms of size, the proportions of the house are also easily comparable to those of an exclusive hostel, with a structure hovering over 3,000 square meters with 2,628 square meters of interior living space.
The most compelling feature, however, is the dining room and accompanying bar, which undoubtedly appears to be a restaurant in its own right.
Aside from the gargantuan size of the room, the ceiling decorations are gloriously ornate and the ceiling itself is several meters high.
Two tall trees also form the centerpieces of the space, and there’s enough seating for over 60 people.
The giant marble slab that makes up the bar is wonderfully chic and complemented by chic bar stools with gold hardware that matches the gleaming gold of the bar footstool.
However, there are elements of this dining room/restaurant/bar that are unique to say the least.
We don’t know who designed the room, but they were obviously fans or had a big surplus of astroturf, since that’s what covers the floor and walls.
What’s even weirder is that somehow it works…we love it.
The chateau’s outdoor swimming pool is generous enough to also be that of a hotel, with plenty of relaxation options around the sizable body of water.
Whatever its vocation, residential or otherwise, this Château is worth its weight in jousting sticks.
With a price guide of $12.5 million, this property would never be mistaken for affordability.
However, given the size of this place and all that’s on offer, it could be a bargain, especially compared to what $12.5 million will buy you, say, Bel-Air.
