Over 100 children will have gifts under the tree this Christmas thanks to Ashley’s Angels.

The nonprofit, founded by Ashley Furniture more than two decades ago, made its annual holiday deliveries to children in need on Monday. The event took place at the company’s factory in Ontelaunee Township.

The volunteers were busy shopping for 28 local families to provide them with clothes, food, blankets and
requests for special gifts this holiday season. Ashley’s Angels of Pennsylvania raised over $ 34,000 this year through various fundraising events.

Ashley’s Angels was created to help struggling families during the holiday season. In 1997, an Ashley Furniture ambassador, with the help of a few colleagues, helped create the idea after helping a local child in need.

Since then, Ashley’s Angels has generated more than $ 3 million in donations and benefited more than 20,000 children in Mississippi, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and North Carolina in communities surrounding Ashley’s facilities.
