PULWAMA, OCTOBER 16: A public grievance camp was held today here in Rahmoo Pulwama. District Development Commissioner Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary listened to grievances and demands from the public in the presence of the DDC member, district officials, PRIs and the general public from Rahmoo and adjacent Panchayats.
The PRI and the locals presented their problems and demands and demanded a slow pace of the Rahmoo bridge, the electricity poles, the irrigation of the Karewas of Rahmoo, the macadamisation of the connecting roads,
PHC Rahmoo doctor and other paramedics, ambulance requirement, fire station opening, and several other issues related to water, power supply, road connectivity, health, etc. raised by the public during the camp.
While responding to the problems and requests of the SDC, the PRI and the public, the SDC ensured that all their genuine requests and grievances would be resolved as soon as possible.
Addressing the camp, the DDC said that the main goal of running such programs is to improve service delivery and the grievance mechanism.
He further stated that Tehsil, Block and District level officers would remain available during these events to hear public grievances for redress on the spot.
During this time, several grievances were forwarded to the relevant departments for prompt resolution through an established tracking system. In the program, a review was also made by the SDC on all the previous questions projected by the local populations.
In addition, instructions were also given to departmental officials to visit their respective jurisdictions and listen to grievances from the general public, in addition to organizing outreach programs, highlighting various regimes of individual beneficiaries through the panchayats.
Instructions were given to Tehsildar Rajpora to demarcate state lands outside the government upper secondary school and entrusted the education department with upgrading the development infrastructure of the institute.
Among others, the darbar was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Dr Sheikh Ab Aziz, DDC member Javid Rahim Bhat, PRI and relevant officers.
