GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The Grand Rapids Fire Department claimed the 4-3 victory on Saturday in the charity hockey game against the Grand Police Department.
Both departments played for the love of the game but also to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Organizers say the friendly competition between first responders was successful.
Through ticket sales and donations, they were able to raise over $ 5,000.
“This is the first time that we are doing it here and I am so impressed with all the support and I am really excited for the years to come and what we can do with it”, Breonna Raymo, Senior Manager of Sales Events of the Griffins group, mentioned.
