SANDWICH – Residents of Sandwich will be able to usher in the New Year with the Sandwich Arts Alliance’s multigenerational celebration.
The “Countdown to the Sandwich Showcase Cavalcade†on New Years Eve at Sandwich Town Hall will feature ten performances to the New Year’s countdown, with Sam Holmstock as emcee.
Acts include Leslie Gage and Greg Polanik, Cape Caribe and King’s Busketeers.
Soft drinks, snacks, children’s activities and raffle prizes will also be present.
The grand finale will be a 10 to 1 countdown to “Happy New Year”, with performers then leading the audience singing “Auld Lang Syne”.
“The Cavalcade countdown took place in the absence of First Night Sandwich,†said the performing arts coordinator for the alliance.
“Once we found out that First Night Sandwich was not taking place this year, we felt a void, as well as an opportunity, so I checked with Alliance members to see if there was. an interest in organizing a show for New Years Eve and, indeed, there was! “
Tickets are $ 15 for adults and $ 10 for children, and the event will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
