“The Teachers Fund exists to invest in teachers and strengthen schools. We believe that curiosity initiates learning, both inside and outside the classroom, ”said Karen eckhoff, executive director of the FFT. “Now more than ever, we want to empower and inspire educators. When teachers have the opportunity to take control of their professional growth and continue to learn, they enrich their practice and can engage their students in new ways.”

In 2021, 246 educators were able to pursue their passions thanks to FFT scholarships. “Through my own personal growth as an educator, I will now be armed with the resources of my authentic experience to support my students. We can only teach what we have really learned ourselves,” said Deanna roncaioli of its 2021 FFT experience.

Since 2001, FFT has invested $ 33.5 million in nearly 9,000 educators, transforming the growing grants for teachers and their students. Now in its 20th year, the organization is also focused on expanding its impact well beyond the summer scholarship. This year, FFT continued to develop The Ramsden Project, a network that connects current and past scholarship recipients and enables them to establish mentorships, share ideas and resources, and seek leadership opportunities. The FFT has also introduced innovation grants, which are $ 1,000 scholarships awarded to alumni who wish to continue to benefit from experiential learning opportunities.
